TxDOT APPROVES TWO AREA PROJECTS
The Texas Department of Transportation has approved a pair of projects in the area, slated to begin this spring.
TxDOT approved a one-million dollar hot mix overlay on Highway-290, from Highway-36 to FM-389.
The contract has been awarded to Knife River Corporation-South of Bryan.
Work is expected to be completed by this fall.
Meanwhile, in Burleson County, TxDOT has approved a one-and-a-half million dollar project to rehabilitate FM-50 from the Washington County line to the BNSF railroad tracks.
The contract was awarded to Glen Fuqua Construction of Navasota.
That project is expected to be completed by next winter.
