WACO MAN CAUGHT AFTER DWI CHASE

  

A Waco man has been arrested after a hit and run that led to a police chase in College Station in the pre-dawn hours today (Thursday).

Twenty-six year old Jacob McKenzie is facing a number of charges after police say he crashed into a parked vehicle before fleeing north towards Bryan.

Police began to search the area for the suspect and caught up with McKenzie while he was traveling north in a south bound lane.

Officers nearly collided with McKenzie  but the suspect swerved and crashed into a nearby building.

MeKenzie  was arrested and charged with evading detention in a motor vehicle, driving while intoxicated and three counts of failure to leave information after crashing into vehicles.
