WINERIES HOSTING GRAPE STOMP WEEKENDS

  

Two Washington County wineries are kicking off their “Grape Stomp Weekends”.

Beginning Saturday, the Pleasant Hill Winery and the Windy Winery will be hosting Grape Stomp activities each weekend through August 10th.Grape Stomp story

At Pleasant Hill Winery, they’ll be hosting their 13th Annual Crush for Fun.  The Crush will allow members of the public to stomp some grapes and receive a T-Shirt proclaiming, “I picked, I stomped, I made some wine”.

The event takes place Saturdays from 11 a.m.-to-6 p.m. and Sundays from noon-to-5 p.m.  The cost is $25 for adults and $15 for children.

Pleasant Hill Winery is located at 1441 Salem Road, across from Salem Lutheran Church.

The Harvest Grape Stomp is being held at Windy Winery and begins each day with a hayride to the vineyard to pick grapes to be stomped.  There are also keepsake T-Shirts and Blue Bell Ice Cream.

Admission is $25 for adults and $15 for children.  The event is open from 11 a.m.-to-5 p.m., Saturday and noon-to-4:30 Sundays.

The Windy Winery is located at 4232 Clover Road, off FM-50.
