125th MAIFEST ROYALITY ANNOUNCED

The 2015 Maifest Royalty were announced Sunday under a sunny sky at the Dr. Bobbie Dietrich Memorial Amphitheater.

The Junior Maifest this year will have twin Kings, Benjamin and Grant Rogas, sons of Russell and Amy Rogas.  The Junior Queens will be Emma Kate McIntyre daughter of Harvey and Reagan McIntyre and Kennedy Elizabeth Tilley daughter of Jeff and Mary Tilley.  The Junior Royalty will be reigning over Maifest Express – The Season Ticket to Fun.

The Senior Maifest Queen this year is Gretchen Madison West, daughter of Glen and Julie West. She will be reigning over Brenham Maifest 125 – This City Rocks.  Gretchen explains the Senior Maifest theme:

 

The Senior Maifest King this year is Halen Scott Tilly, son of Jeff and Mary Tilley and big brother of Junior Queen Kennedy Tilley.  Halen explains what being named King means to him:

 

This year’s Maifest will be the first weekend of May and will feature something new.  There will be a 5K run on Sunday.  Maifest Association President Heather Thielemann  explains:

 

Brenham Maifest will also be working to raise money for Brenham’s Faith Mission SMART program through the Maifest Kids Helping Kids initiative.
