127 CAST VOTES ON FIRST DAY OF DIST. 13 EARLY VOTING

  

Early Voting is underway for the May 5 Special Election for District 13 State Representative.

There are 3 candidates on the ballot, two Republicans: Ben Lehman and Jill Wolfskill and one Democrat: Cecil Webster.   The winner will fill the post until the end of 2018.

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, 127 early ballots were cast on the first day.

Early Voting in this race, will take place through this Friday, then next Monday and Tuesday.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each of those days at the Courthouse Annex, located at 100 S. Park, Street, Brenham, just across the street from the courthouse.

Election Day is Saturday, May 5th.

Leman and Wolfskill are also involved in a runoff election, later next month, to decide the Republican candidate to face Webster in November’s general election.
