Residents in that area have been circulating a petition asking that the expansion take place somewhere else.

During the public forum portion of last (Monday) night’s meeting a group of residents the Emerald Forest subdivision spoke out, including Denise Schneider, who says the board holds their future in their hands…

The residents have said they feared a drop in property values because residences would likely be turned into rental units for students, and there will be noise and traffic complaints.

Tonight’s (Tuesday) session will be at 6:30pm at the Administration building on the Brenham campus.
