21st GRAND JURY INDICTS MAN ON ASSAULT CHARGE

  

Evans indictment featureA Brenham man, arrested earlier this month, has been indicted on felony assault charges by the Washington County 21st Grand Jury

24-year old John Paul Evans of Brenham was arrested by local police December 3rd after allegedly choking his girlfriend during an altercation at her home on Stone Hollow Drive.

Evans is charged with: Assault Family Violence—Impeding Breathing.

Also indicted was 41-year old Pamela Lockett of Brenham on charges of Exploitation of the Elderly and Credit Card Abuse.

Lockett was arrested earlier this year by Washington County Sheriff’s Investigators after allegedly making 88 transactions for over $13,000 on a credit card that was stolen from an elderly woman she was caring for.

44-year old Letitia Nickerson was also indicted by the Grand Jury.  She was arrested back on October 12th on a charge of Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

Nickerson was arrested by Brenham Police shortly after a pickup had been reported stolen from a home at the 200 block of Barbee Street.

Also indicted by the latest 21st Grand Jury:

23-year old Adrian Gutierrez of Brenham for Continuous Violence Against Family.

20-year old Ashley Burton of Brenham for Credit Card Abuse.

32-year old Randy R. Johnson of Spring for Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

And five indictments were returned for Possession of a Controlled Substance against:

35-year old Frank Amason of Brenham.
26-year old Doyle Keith Brown Jr., of Brenham.
52-year old Christopher Burt of Carmine.
27-year old Kenneth Brooks Helmer of Brenham.
And, 59-year old Michael Amule Smith of Brenham.
