Brenham City Council members took time at the beginning of their meeting today to honor Blue Bell Aquatic Center lifeguard John Schroeter.  He was awarded the American Red Cross Lifesaving Award for his actions in saving the life of Kendarien Taylor on July 3rd.  Schroeter spotted the small boy at the bottom of the baby pool and pulled him out and began rescue resuscitation.  The boy began breathing a minute later and has fully recovered now.  Kendarien and his mother Danielle Moore were at today’s meeting to thank Schroeter.
