“A MEETING OF THE MINDS” TONIGHT

  

A discussion of what would have happened if Martin Luther King, Jr. and Malcolm X had met in an Harlem hotel room along just before Malcolm’s death in 1965 will be the topic of this award-winning play “A Meeting of the Minds,” sponsored by the Life, Camera, Action and Brenham Activist Association on this evening  at 6:30 pm.

Randy Wells of Faith Mission, tells us a little about what the play is about.

This play also recalls the rhetoric that responded to a restless nation, and provocatively discovers the men behind the public figures. The ideologies and styles of these two leaders were viewed as diametrically opposed, yet both men were equally essential and indelibly connected to a movement called “Civil Right,” and shared an objective known as freedom.

The play will be performed at the Brenham High School auditorium at 525 A.H. Ehrig Dr.
