ABBOTT EXTENDS HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX SUSPENSION

  

Texas Governor Greg Abbott has extended the suspension of collecting all state and local hotel occupancy taxes, following Hurricane Harvey.

Any victims of the hurricane, or personnel participating in hurricane relief efforts, are exempt from paying hotel occupancy taxes through September 22^nd. To qualify, victims and relief workers must complete a form 12-302 Texas Hotel Occupancy Tax Exemption Certificate and submit it to the hotel at check-in or during their stay.
