ACCIDENT VICTIM STILL UNIDENTIFIED

Authorities have not yet identified a man, killed in an auto-pedestrian accident Thursday night in Washington County.

Just after 10:00 Thursday night, a west-bound vehicle struck the unidentified man on Highway 290, about four miles east of Brenham.

The driver of the 1984 GMC pickup was west bound on 290, when the victim—who was not carrying identification—stepped in front of the pickup, as he tried to cross the highway.

The victim—an unidentified white male—was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace, Douglas Zwiener.

His body was taken to the Travis County Medical Examiner’s office for autopsy.

    1. They try not to post that stuff in the news media. The idea being they don’t want family to find out about someone’s death in a news article, but in person. If it goes too long without ID being made, they will.

  1. It is very sad he had no I.D. Maybe they can find his fingerprints in some data base. May he R.I.P.

  2. So sad when someone can’t be identified.
Hopefully someone will miss him soon.
