ADAM’S ANGELS TOY DRIVE UNDERWAY

Adam’s Angels Ministry continues its annual Christmas Toy/Gift Drive is going on through Friday, Dec. 8th.

This year the toy drive does not have drop-off boxes at local businesses as they have in the past.

This year’s drive, instead features convenient online shopping through AmazonSmile, which delivers directly to Adam’s Angels.  That site is: smile.amazon.com.

There is one drop-off location: at Adam’s Angels Ministry Office, 2501 South Market St., in Brenham.

There will also be a one day drive thru/drop-off location Friday, Dec. 8th, from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., at Fireman’s Park, Brenham Cub Baseball Field entrance.  KWHI will have live reports from the event.

All donations must be new. No opened, played with or gently used toys, stuffed animals, beanie babies, toy guns (Nerf allowed), and toys of a religious nature or from gift meal boxes.

For more information, visit the Adam’s Angels website: AdamsAngelsMinistry.org or by email: toydrive@adamsangelsministry.org or call (979) 836-0955.

  1. I sure wonder what’s happening with this organization because I’ve seen lately they have been operating very different!
If this is an donor agency then why be so particular on the donations.
The kids and families are just happy to get a gift and appreciate the littlest things so I’ll choose to donate to another local agency that keeps Brenham families happy.
    *If it smells like a fish it’s a fish…

    1. And when it’s a donated used toy that’s broken, dirty, and smells like fish, then it’s trash and unwanted at this event. You may not do it personally, but events like this seem to bring some rather irrational people out to ‘drop off their trash,’ so to speak. Why should volunteers have to spend significant portions of their holidays sorting other folks’ trash?

    2. It is my understanding that many of these gifts are for children undergoing cancer treatment. These children have compromised immune systems and therefore should not be exposed to toys that could have been contaminated unnecessarily. Also some donations may not have been appropriate for children in a hospital. Just my thought in response to your comment.

    3. Should there be any questions regarding the donations AAM accepts, I kindly invite you to send us an email or call. I will be more than happy to explain the rules we as an organization dealing with children who have cancer are asked to adhere to by the hospital the bulk of these toys go to. I would prefer to not use this free public announcement as a source in which this subject is debated. Blessings.
