The nation's top-ranked high school quarterback and the No. 14 overall recruit Kyler Murray of Allen has committed to Texas A&M.

Murray picked A&M over Oregon and Auburn, choosing to follow in the footsteps of his father, Kevin, who was a two-time All-American with the Aggies.

The Ducks and Tigers made late pushes before Murray made his final decision.

The Aggies now have commitments from two of the state's top three prospects in Murray and defensive tackle Daylon Mack of Gladewater (No. 15 recruit). They also are squarely in the mix for the top-ranked prospect in Texas, No. 12-rated Kendall Sheffield, a cornerback from Fort Bend Marshall.

The state's top-ranked prospect in 2014 (No. 4 overall), defensive end Myles Garrett of Arlington Martin, also signed with Texas A&M.
