A&M APPROVES PHASE 1 CONSTRUCTION ON RELLIS CAMPUS

Blinn College’s new facility on the RELLIS campus in Bryan will have some company in the near future.

This week the Texas A&M University System Board of Regents okayed construction of their first phase of the RELLIS campus. Included is a three story, $42 million building for classrooms, biology labs, faculty offices, study areas and student service offices. Construction on A&M’s new building is scheduled to begin in March, with completion in June of 2019. It will be across the street from Blinn’s 83,000 square foot building already under construction. Housing 18 classrooms and 8 laboratories, Blinn’s new building will open this fall.

The RELLIS campus is located off of Texas Highway 21 and Texas Highway 47 in west Brazos County. The Bryan City Council is considering annexation of the area around the new campus.
