A&M HOSTS FIRE SCHOOL THIS WEEK

The Texas A&M engineering extension service has kicked off their annual municipal fire week.

More than 1,600 students and 500 hundred instructors from around the country are gathering in College Station for the week long training school.

Programs begin bright and early Monday morning.

Sunday, TEEX hosted the registration and vendor show at Reed Arena. Organizers say each year the show gets better.

TEEX spokesperson, Casey Richardson says each year fire trucks get bigger and better and taller and faster and there is a lot more technology integrated into them.  He also says they have demonstrators showing off drones and things that can be integrated into an emergency scene.

Wednesday the public is invited to a free demonstration from fire fighters who will showcase what they will learn at the school.
