A&M REGENTS SUPPORT DECISION TO BAN WLM RALLY

Members of Texas A&M's Board of Regents say they support the university's decision to cancel a White Lives Matter event scheduled for next month.

Board Chairman Charles Schwartz addressed the board Wednesday before they passed a motion to support the universities decision to cancel the event.

Schwartz made it clear neither he nor the university was infringing on anyone’s first amendment rights.

Schwartz says the administration and its advisors consulted their legal team and law enforcement who determined the event would draw violence, and put students and faculty in danger.

Schwartz told the board, the university has proven it stands by freedom of speech, citing the event last December when a speaker from an alt-right group came to campus.

  1. I guess only black lives matter. Suppression of one sides first amendment rights is not right, it will only add to the fire and hatred .
They will find another venue, it won’t go away.
Everyone should have their soap box to stand on, that’s what they teach at these colleges.
