ANTKOWIAK TAKES SILVER AT RECENT TRACK MEET
Brenham High School runner Alexis Antkowiak took 2nd place in the 2000 meter steeplechase at the Best of Texas Meet at Baylor University earlier this week, in a time of 7:39.02.
According to Coach Trenton Hall, The Best of Texas is a new meet put on by the Texas Track & Field Coaches Association.
Invitations to the meet are given to Texas State Meet champions plus the next 4 fastest times from around the state.
The 2000 meter steeplechase is not contested at the UIL State meet so Alexis was invited based on her performance earlier this year at the Texas Relays.
