AREA TEAMS COMPETE IN HOUSTON COOK OFF

  

Several area Bar-B-Q teams are competing at the World Championship Bar-B-Q Cook Off at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo this week.  The competition began Thursday and continues through tonight (Saturday). More than 250 teams comprising over 400 entries will compete for best overall barbecue.  Area teams competing in the event include:

From Washington County, Dr. Smoke, from Grimes County, The Dollar Bills, from Austin County, the Austin County Go Texan Team, from Fayette County, Kill It and Grill It,  and from Burleson County, Bud, Sweat and Pit Stains.

Judging and the awards presentation will be held today. Tickets for the event are $15 and include a complementary Bar-B-Q sandwich.
