  1. I don’t understand how the Auto Thefts, all types of burglaries, robberies and drug cases are at a all time high in Brenham and Washington County when the Grand Jury and courts are indicting and convicting these criminals. You don’t dare leave your vehicle accidentally unlocked or something in plain view in your car anywhere in Brenham. The working class people leave their homes every day to go to work wondering if some piece of trash is going to break in and take your possessions while your gone. Have we raised a generation that just doesn’t have morals or a sense of whats right or wrong or just doesn’t care? Can anyone tell us what has happened?

    1. Lack of parenting, bad parenting, lazy parents…people become parents even though they shouldn’t be allowed to. No parent who cares about their child would condone this behavior. What would really fix America’s problems is if there was a test one had to take before they were allowed to have children. One should not be having kids for tax write off purposes or to be the first one of their friends to have a kid (even though they know they aren’t mature or financially stable enough). That’s a news flash for most people:having kids is expensive and they need love and attention, not to be treated like some sort of burden. If you think having kids will be a burden, THEN DON’t HAVE THEM.

      1. We are not going to blame parents on these behaviors. EVERYONE HAS THE RIGHT TO MAKE CHOICES!!! They choose to make the wrong choice, and have decided to do what ever and suffer the consequences, I know people that came from the best home life and they still did what they desired to do.

        1. Then one might agree with Confussed and say that younger generations “don’t have morals or a sense of what’s right or wrong”. Where does one learn these things? From parents and from the church are the two that come to mind when I’m asked this question. Am I saying everyone who goes to Church is perfect, of course not. I know many people who go just to check it off their “chores”. But, if people were to practice what is preached then I’d guarantee you this world would become a better place. I agree there comes a time when parents should no longer be blamed for their children’s actions but those parents should not be claiming “their child is a saint and would never do anything like that” as we typically see in incidents like this. If something is wrong then it is wrong. As Judge Harm on The Simpson’s once said, “Don’t spit on my cupcakes and tell me it’s frosting”.
