ARREST DURING WALK TO WORK

  

A Brenham man was arrested yesterday (Wednesday) morning after being found pacing in a bar ditch.

Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer was patrolling in the 2000 block of US 290 West yesterday (Wednesday) around 8:23am when he saw a man, 37 year old, John Marshall Robertson, pacing in a bar ditch. Dudenhoeffer stopped to ensure that Robertson was okay, and after learning he was walking to work, offered to give him a ride.

Dudenhoeffer told Robertson that he would have to be searched prior to getting into the patrol unit. During the agreed search, methamphetamines were located inside a gray metal box cutter Robertson was carrying.

Robertson was arrest and charged with possession of a controlled substance under 1 gram.
