ARREST MADE IN POST OAK MALL CAR BURGLARIES

  

Police have arrested a man who was breaking into vehicles at Post Oak Mall on Monday night, and is now behind bars on a $27,000 bond.

Thirty-three year old James Earl Derrow of Houston was charged with Burglary of a Vehicle, Driving While License Invalid), Theft Possession of a Criminal Instrument, Possession of Marijuana, and Tampering with Evidence.

Shoppers reported seeing two suspects breaking into vehicles, first checking to see if the vehicles were unlocked, and then smashing out windows.

The shopper then gave police a good description of the vehicle and license plate, and the police spotted the car and pulled it over.

There was a passenger in the vehicle, but he could not be linked to the Post Oak burglaries.
