ARRESTS IN CLAY COULD BE RELATED TO HIGH SCHOOL THEFT

Brenham Police say they may have a break in the case of a major burglary at Brenham High School earlier this week.

Monday, a maintenance worker discovered over $10,000 in property missing from a maintenance building.

Wednesday, the police department’s Fusion Unit went to a residence in Clay, where they recovered a John Deere Gator that had been taken in the theft.

While no charges have yet been filed in the theft at the high school, police  did arrest two people at the residence on outstanding warrants.

20-year old Xavian Lacy is charged with two Class-C Warrants out of Brazos County, and 28-year old Octavia Taylor is wanted on five Class-C Warrants from Washington County and the City of Brenham.

Authorities say charges in the theft at the high school are pending further investigation.
