AUSTIN CO. COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS ROADS

  

The reconstruction of portions of a couple of roads in Austin County is one of the topics on the agenda for Monday morning’s 9 o’clock meeting of the Austin County Commissioners Court.

The Austin County Commissioners will consider hiring Jones/Carter Inc. for professional engineering and surveying services for the reconstruction of portions of Old Highway 36 and Old Nelsonville Road.    5 miles of Old Highway 36 will be reconstructed from State Highway 36 to Travis Road, and 1.3 miles of Old Nelsonville Road will be reworked from Old Highway 36 to Glaeser Road.

Also on the agenda for Monday morning’s meeting is painting and pressure washing a parking lot at 800 East Wendt Street, the removal and replacement of batteries in a tower at 7319 Peters San Felipe Road, and repairs to the Austin County Courthouse roof.  The Austin County Commissioners will also consider the 2017 holiday calendar, and accept the annual Road and Bridge Reports.

In executive session Monday, the Commissioners will discuss negotiations involving Economic Development.  The meeting is at 9 o’clock Monday morning in the Austin County Courthouse in Bellville.
