AUSTIN CO. FAIR YOUTH LIVESTOCK AUCTION BRINGS IN $1 MILLION

  

The Austin County Fair Youth Livestock Auction brought in $952,847, which officials say will easily become over $1 million by the time ad-ons are factored into the total amount. Five records fell during the auction held last Friday.

The five records set were:

Jordan Davilla’s Grand Champion Lamb, purchased by Sim Tex for $12,500.

Katie Wingo’s Grand Champion Filly, purchased by Wanda Beil for $15,000.

David Lewis’ Grand Champion Pen Heifer, purchased by Whitley Ranch for $17,000.

Blake Zaskoda’s Grand Champion Turkey Hen, purchased by Sim Tex for $6,500.

The Austin County Fair was organized in 1927 as an association to encourage agricultural and horticulture by exhibition of livestock and farm products.

 

 

Robin Rice’s Reserve Grand Champion Gelding, purchased by Sim Tex for $10,000.
