AUSTIN COUNTY EXTENSION HOSTING PERSONAL SAFETY DAY

The Austin County Extension offices are extending an invitation to the county and surrounding areas to a personal safety program, sponsored by Texas Extension Education Association of Austin County. Personal safety is becoming more and more critical for citizens, especially the children, women, and elderly.

This is a free program that will emphasize different ways to stay safe and protect yourself in an age where too many people are distracted by personal electronics or the stresses of their daily lives.

Being held next Tuesday, June 13th at 6:30 pm, the event will be at the Extension office, located 20 S. Holland in Bellville.

The building is on the Historic Square, just next to the City Hall building.

The program will be conducted by the Austin County Sheriff’s Department, with Austin County Sheriff Jack Brandes.

For more information, contact Michelle Allen at the County Extension Office at 979-865-2072.
