AUSTIN COUNTY GO TEXAN HAPPENING THIS WEEKEND

  

The Austin County Go Texan Day is happening this weekend at the Austin County Fairgrounds.

The event kicks off Saturday with a dominos tournament at 11 a.m., horseshoes at 1 p.m., and washers and bean bags immediately following the events.

An auction will be held at 7 p.m. and a dance featuring Jake Hooker will take place from 9 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $15.

On Sunday, the Salt Grass Trail Ride (SGTR) will come to the Austin County Fairgrounds. SGTR is the original and the oldest trail ride that promotes the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

A Salt Grass Dance will be held Sunday to celebrate the ride. The dance will feature the Anthony Moreno Band. Doors will open at 7:30 p.m.

All the funds raised from this event will benefit the Austin County Go Texan Scholarship Fund.
