AUTHORITIES ISSUE GUIDELINES FOR VIEWING BARBARA BUSH PROCESSION

Law enforcement agencies are informing area residents ahead of time that no vehicles will be allowed to stop Saturday along Highway 290 or Highway 6 for the Barbara Bush motorcade.

Officials with Waller, Grimes and Brazos Counties says their instructions are to keep Highway 290 and Hwy 6 cleared of vehicles, as the motorcade makes its way from Houston to College Station.

The motorcade is expected to reach Waller late Saturday morning or early afternoon.

Anyone who wants to park and view the procession will have to do so from a parking lot.

Vehicles will also not be allowed to park along frontage roads.

Citizens can expect a large law enforcement presence and there is potential for significant travel delays.

It is estimated that over 50 emergency vehicles will be involved, with officers controlling traffic at intersections along the route to allow passage.
