BABY BOY RECOVERS FROM MONTGOMERY CO. CRASH

  

A 5-month-old Montgomery County boy is in stable condition and expected to make a full recovery after being ejected from a car during a crash Sunday night.

The Texas Department of Public Safety says the accident occurred shortly before 10:30 Sunday night northeast of Conroe in the Sam Houston National Forest.

The boy was transported to Hermann Memorial Hospital in Houston on Sunday night with multiple injuries.

Witnesses say the boy was found in the middle of the road, a significant distance from the vehicle.

DPS officials say they do not have information on whether there the boy was in a car seat, or if one was in the vehicle at the time of the crash.

Several media reports indicated the driver of the vehicle is the child’s father, but authorities will not confirm the relationship at this time.

Officials also say it’s too early to tell whether alcohol or drugs played a factor into the crash.
