BANK ROBBERY SUSPECT REPORTED KILLED IN BROOKSHIRE

A Waller County bank robber is apparently dead in Brookshire after he was shot and killed by an off-duty police officer.

KTRK Channel-13 in Houston says sources have confirmed the alleged robber was killed outside a credit union in Brookshire.

The CEO of the 1st Service Credit Union said an off-duty police officer was inside the building working as a security guard when the suspect entered the lobby.

While details have not been released, it has been confirmed shots were fired and the suspect did not survive.

Police are still investigating.

The CEO says he’s relieved no one else was hurt in the incident.
