BELLVILLE WINS CLASS 4A GIRLS DOUBLES TITLE

  

Bellville has a state tennis champion for the first time in school history. Juniors, Carrsyn Gregor and Kendall Jablonoskwi won the Class 4A girls doubles title on May 17th at Texas A&M University in College Station.

After a rain delay on Monday, the 16th, Gregor/Jablonowski opened up their state play with a 6-2, 6-0 win over Maggie Quy and Jane Speiser of Krum in the state quarterfinals. Bellville then took on Myra Powell and Claire Maxcey of Fredericksburg in the state semifinals with a 6-4, 7-6 (5) win to set up the championship match. Bellville went on to win the state title over Longview Spring Hill’s Nabry Nichols and Lexi Penn 6-1, 6-4.
