BELVILLE P.D. RESPONDS TO BOMB THREAT
Bellville authorities report a false bomb threat overnight.
Just before 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, law enforcement, fire and EMS units were called out to a bomb threat at the Dollar General store at 651 East Main Street in Bellville.
According to authorities, the caller told an employee who worked at the store, that there was a bomb in one of the trash cans within the store.
Officers from the Bellville Police Department scanned all of the trash cans, as well as the entire store, and no bomb was detected.
Police are currently investigating a person of interest in the case.
No arrest has been made at this time.
