A fundraising dinner is being held for the daughter of a local pastor who is battling a rare, neurological disease.

Liz Fenton, daughter of Pastor Phil Fenton of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Brenham, is battling a disorder known as Transverse Myelitis, a rare neurological disorder. She is now permanently disabled, making it difficult for her to move, and is continually losing functionality due to paresthesia, chronic pain and partial paralysis.

A fundraiser is being organized to help with battling the disease, on December 6th at Underbelly Restaurant, and a GoFundMe page, “Liz Fenton’s Medical Fund,” has been set up to help with medical expenses, and has so far raised over $33,000 dollars.

Liz is well known in Houston, and has helped raise hundreds of thousands of dollars for friends and community, and spends hundreds of hours volunteering within Houston and the food bank community.

For more information, go to Liz’s GoFundMe page.
