BFD RESCUES TRAPPED SEMI-TRUCK DRIVER
The Brenham Fire Department rescued a trapped semi-truck driver after an accident Saturday morning.
At approximately 6:30 a.m., the department responded to the 3400 block of State Highway 36 North for a transportation incident. When they arrived, they found an 18-wheeler which had lost control and jack-knifed. The truck landed in nearby trees, trapping the driver inside.
The fire department used a saw to remove the branches of the trees and eventually freed the driver.
No details about the driver’s condition have been released at this time.
