BFD RESPONDS TO HIGH WATER RESCUE

The Brenham Fire Department responded to the report of a vehicle stranded in high water with occupants inside at about 7:30am Monday.  The small sedan was partially submerged on FM 2935 at Little Sandy Creek just north of the High School.  A volunteer fireman with a large truck was able to pull alongside the sedan and rescue the occupants by having them crawl out the window and into the truck.  There were no reports of injuries.  The vehicle was left until the water recedes.  FM 2935 is currently closed due to the high water at this location.
