BHS NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY TO HIGHLIGHT CANCER AWARENESS DURING OCTOBER

The Brenham High School National Honor Society will be working in October to bring awareness to the fight against cancer through donations to the American Cancer Society.

On October 9th, the National Honor Society will be sponsoring Think Pink Brenham, Texas at the Cub football game. Biodegradable balloons with cards inscribed - with the name of either someone who is currently fighting or who has beaten cancer OR someone who has lost the battle with cancer - will be available for purchase at the game Friday, Oct. 9th. These balloons will be tied to the fence close to the concession stand and released at the end of the game. Wrist bands recognizing October as breast cancer month will also be available.

All proceeds will be donated to the American Cancer Society for research.

The BHS National Honor Society will also be helping with Dig Pink on October 13th, as well as Paint the Town Pink on Oct. 22 at the Hasskarl-Giddings Imaging Center.

For more information, contact Tracey Campbell at Brenham High School at 979-277-3800, extension 6139.
