BHS STUDENT TO PERFORM IN MACY’S THANKSGIVING DAY PARADE

  

A Brenham High School Student is having an extra-special holiday this year as she becomes a part the most iconic celebration of Thanksgiving Day.

Haley Hughes, daughter of Andy and Paula Hughes, was invited to perform with the Spirit of America Dance Team during the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade this year.

Haley was invited to perform with the dance team after she made All-American this summer at officer camp. She is a sophomore at Brenham High School and a Lieutenant on the Brenham Belles.

The Spirit of America Dance Team has been performing in the parade for over 25 years. An estimated 3.5 million people are expected to line up along the parade route in New York City, for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Parade coverage will begin at 9 a.m. on NBC.
