Three Brenham High School students have been selected to participate in the online distance learning portion of NASA's Texas High School Aerospace Scholars (HAS).

Danelle Deans, Andrea Jantzi and Zeb McCorkle were selected based on an application profile, including an essay composition and letter of recommendation. The applicant pool is very competitive, and these students are to be commended on their selection.

Students will have an opportunity to participate in interactive lessons on NASA activities related to space exploration, earth science, technology and aeronautics.  They will also design challenges such as 3D drawing, video creation, interactive poster design, and participate in virtual chats with NASA engineers and scientists.

Selected students will be invited to NASA for a week-long residential summer experience of team projects and briefings directed by NASA engineers and scientists, hands-on design challenges and engineering activities, and tours of NASA facilities.
