BISD BOARD TO DISCUSS PICKARD REUNION ASSOC. REQUEST

  

The Brenham School Board is expected to discuss a request to donate a building on the former Alton Elementary campus to the A.R. Pickard High School Reunion Association.

The Alton site was the former location of Pickard High School, and the association has asked trustees to approve donating what was the home economics building at Pickard.

Pickard High School was converted into an elementary campus after desegregation in the early 1970’s.

The board will also discuss the strategic planning process for the 2015-16 district goals and mission statement when they meet Monday night.

School districts throughout the State of Texas are periodically required to review their mission statements and goals.

Also on Monday’s agenda is an update on the Alton Elementary school and middle school construction projects.

The board will meet at 6 p.m. at Brenham High School in rooms 111 and 113.
