BISD BOARD TO HOLD BUDGET WORKSHOP MONDAY

  

The Brenham School Board will hold a special meeting on Monday to discuss preliminary budget information for 2017-2018.

BISD Director of Business and Finance, Kim Weatherby, begins the budget process each year by taking the board through a series of workshops to familiarize them with current data.

During the workshop session, the board will hear the preliminary property value estimates for the district.

The board will also consider a playground equipment proposal for the Brenham Early Childhood Learning Center.

In early March, the school board announced their plans to repurpose the old Alton Elementary Campus into the childhood center. The center will consolidate Brenham ISD’s Pre-K programs into one location.

In addition, the board will enter into executive session to discuss personnel matters.

The special meeting of the Brenham school board will take place at noon on Monday in the board conference room at 711 E. Mansfield Street.
