BISD BOARD TO OFFICALLY WELCOME NEW SUPERINTENDENT TONIGHT

  

The Brenham ISD Board of Trustees will officially welcome Walter Jackson as the new superintendent of the school district tonight at 6pm.

Last month, Jackson, who is from the Alief School district in Houston, was selected as the lone finalist as superintendent by a unanimous board vote. He has 21 years of experience in public education, and is currently serving as area superintendent for the Alief district.

Texas State law says that the finalist cannot take his office officially until 21 days after being approved.

The Board decided to hold the welcome in the Brenham High School auditorium so that members of the public could attend.
