BISD RECOGNIZES LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT

The Brenham ISD honored local law enforcement at their opening convocation Wednesday.

Chief Goodman and Sheriff Otto Hanak were presented with plaques for their departments’ community support.

The faculty and staff gave the officers a standing ovation.

Brenham Police also unveiled their new uniforms that were specifically designed to show support for BISD which features a green patch and green piping.

Duirng school-sponsored sports events, officers who work will be wearing the new uniforms.

  1. These school resource officers do an excellent job. But is it really necessary to have an entirely different uniform for them? Sounds like a waste of tax dollars to me.

    1. And just how many tax dollars do you think could have been saved with a different decision? Do you think there is only 1 uniform per officer? Do you think they wear the same clothes every single day? I’m all for not wasting tax dollars…but I think you are barking up the wrong tree. You have too much time on your hands if you can afford to scrutinize the colors of a patch on a police uniform.
