BISD BOARD TO HEAR SUPERINTENDENT SEARCH PRESENTATION

The Brenham Independent School District Board of Trustees is set to take the next step in its search for a new superintendent.

At Monday night’s board meeting, the Trustees will view a presentations from executive search firms regarding their search.

Current superintendent Sam Bell announced last month that he is stepping down in January.  The board agreed to buy out the remainder of Bell’s current contract for $155,000.

Two weeks ago the board discussed the search and a possible interim superintendent behind closed doors but took no action on either subject.

Following the presentations, the board will go into executive session to discuss selecting a firm and once-again discuss hiring an interim superintendent.

Also at Monday’s meeting, the board will discuss the lease of the old Alton Elementary School Building Complex.

The board will also hold a public meeting on the annual School “FIRST” financial accountability rating for the Brenham ISD-Superior Achievement Rating.

The Board of Trustees meets at 6:00 Monday night at Brenham High School in Lecture Rooms 111 and 113.
