BISD TO HOST CUB TALKS

  

The Brenham ISD will present Cub Talks, a student leadership opportunity for students in 7th through 12th grade.

Cub Talks will take place on Wednesday, May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Brenham High School auditorium. This event will feature guest speakers sharing stories of inspiration, triumph, and success.  Nearly 500 students were selected by Brenham ISD staff to attend this special event.

The featured speaker for Cub Talks is Dr. Henry Musoma, Assistant Director for the Center for International Business Studies at Texas A&M University. Dr. Musoma will share his thoughts and experiences on the importance of kindness.

Brazos Valley Schools Credit Union Vice President of Marketing Shellye Carpenter will also join the event to talk about the importance of financial literacy.  The Credit Union is also a lunch sponsor for this event.

Other special guest speakers include:

  • John Hines, Blinn College Gentleman’s Club
  • Tricia Katz, Senior Engineer for Outdoor Voices
  • Jessica Tremblay, Software Designer & Developer at IBM

Although the Cub Talks event is targeted at developing youth leaders, the district invite any parents or community members to join them Wednesday, May 2 from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the Brenham High School auditorium.
