A Blinn baseball player was hospitalized after showing signs of exhaustion after Monday’s practice..Blinn spokesman Richard Bray said the baseball player showed signs of dehydration and heat exhaustion. Bray would not release the player’s name and described the hospitalization as precautionary.
The player remained hospitalized throughout the night.
During the practice, 32 players ran 60-yard sprints, Bray said this is common during baseball practice at Blinn.
Bray added that Blinn ‘take our student athletes health and safety very seriously and anytime there is an injury of any sort we review our policy to ensure future player safety.
