BLINN BOARD KEEPS TUITION THE SAME BUT RAISES FEES
Getting an education at Blinn College will cost more in the upcoming school year but it will not be due to a higher tuition.
The Blinn Board of Trustees kept the tuition levels the same at their meeting last (Tuesday) night but raised student fees by $7. Blinn Public Information Director Rich Bray says this will mean an in-district student taking a 12 hour course load will pay just over $1500 a semester.
The additional cost would be about $84 for each in district student. The tuition rates are $45 per semester hour for in district students and $92 for out of district students. The higher fees will bring in $2.8 million to the college. The fees are now $44 per credit hour.
