BLINN BOARD TO CONSIDER SALARIES TUESDAY

The Blinn College Board of Trustees will consider new salaries and a change to the college’s organizational plan when they meet Tuesday night.

Blinn Executive Vice President Mel Waxler will bring two items before the Board Tuesday evening.  One deals with the administrative organization plan for the councils and Faculty Senates.  The other concerns new salaries and wages of Blinn employees.

Blinn Chancellor Mary Hensley will present the Board with an employment contract moving Ted Hajovsky, current legal council for Blinn, to the Executive Council Level.

Richard O’Malley, Executive Director for Facilities, Planning and Construction for Blinn, will give the Board guidance on which capital improvement projects should be a priority for their $4.5 million in bond funds.

In other business, the Blinn Board is expected to approve an agreement with the Brazos County Emergency Communications District to provide emergency dispatching operations for the college’s Brazos County campuses.  And trustees are expected to select insurance companies to provide the college with liability and casualty, property and crime, and cyber insurance policies.

The Blinn College Board of Trustees meets at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 17th in the 3rd floor Board Room of the Administration Building in Brenham.
