BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS BRYAN IMPROVEMENTS

Improvement projects on the Bryan campus will be discussed when the Blinn College board of trustees meets Tuesday night.

The board will discuss an extension to Red River Road on the Bryan campus.  Under consideration will be an agreement for the design of the proposed extension, which would provide enhanced mobility for campus students, faculty, staff and visitors.

As currently constructed, the campus is entrance-only at the Red River intersection; the proposed construction would allow vehicles to exit the campus onto Villa Maria Road.

Also up for discussion will be the dredging of Briar Creek on the Bryan campus.

The project would remove silt from two campus ponds that feed into Briar Creek, increasing the ponds’ storm-water capacity and improving the campus aesthetic.

The board will also consider authorizing the administration to negotiate a professional services agreement with Arkitex Studio for the design of landscaping improvements on the Bryan campus.

The meeting is scheduled for 6:30 p.m.on the third floor of the Brenham campus Administration Building, 802 Green St.
