BLINN BOARD TO DISCUSS STUDENT HOUSING DURING SPECIAL MONDAY MEETING

  

The Blinn College Board of Trustees will discuss and possibly act upon the authorization to enter into negotiations with Servitas, LLC and Partners to fund, design and build and operate student housing on the Brenham campus when the meet on Monday at a Special meeting.

Blinn College President Mary Hensley told the Brenham Rotary Club on Tuesday that the planned housing, containing approximately 440 rooms, will be private housing on Blinn College property, and is expected to be completed in 2017.

Also on the agenda is a Resolution declaring the expectation to reimburse expenditures with proceeds of future debt.

The Board will get an update by Chief Financial Officer regarding the submission of Rider 23 Report, which is required by the 84th Session of the Texas Legislature, House Bill 1.

The Board will also convene in Closed Session.

The Board of Trustees will meet at noon, on the third floor of the Administration Building on the Blinn Brenham campus.

  1. It never ceases to amaze me as to how the Blinn Board of Trusees and the Blinn Administration functions (or one could say fails to function).

    Reference Rider 23 Report due no later than December 1 of each Fiscal Year-they have a special Noon Meeting on November 30 to get an update regarding the submission of this report. This Report is probable the most critical report as ro the relationship of Blinn Brenham and Blinn Bryan ever.

    Likewise it is very critical to the Taxpayers of Washingyn County. I could have missed it but this is the first time I have seen the fact the that the requirements of this report has been made, known to the public.

    This .report could be a major factor in the Blinn Bryan finally being treating fairly in how it is funded.
