The meeting was attended by Blinn – Brenham Campus Theatre Arts Director Brad Nies, Assistant Academic Dean Dr. Debbi Vavra, Academic Dean Dr. Marcelo Bussiki and Executive Vice President and General Counsel Mel Waxler.

Nies, who has been with the Theatre Arts Program for 26 years, said part of what makes the theatre so successful is the family-like atmosphere and the hard work put in by everyone involved.

Blinn celebrated its 50th anniversary with “Glitter and Gold: 50 Years of Theatre” this last weekend. The Blinn-Brenham Theatre Arts Program’s next performance will be “Lee Harvey Oswald: A Far Mean Streak of Indepence Brought on by Negleck,” which follows the life of Oswald through the eyes of his wife, mother, and the Warren Commission’s report. The show opens at 7 p.m. Feb. 23-25 and 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 26 in the Dr. W.W. O’Donnell Performing Arts Center. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.blinn.edu/boxoffice, by calling 979-830-4024, or by emailing BoxOffice@blinn.edu.
