BLINN DELAYS ACTION ON CONTRACTS FOR BRYAN CAMPUS WORK
Blinn College trustees have tabled the approval of contracts involving the development of a new campus in Bryan.
Officials say they will consider the contracts at a later meeting.
The contracts would include: Design and construction phase services with HDR Engineering Inc.; Geotechnical and pavement design services with Terracon Consultant Service; and, surveying services with Strong Surveying, LLC.
Trustees discussed the contracts in an executive session but took no action.
The new 95-acre campus will ultimately will serve as many as 15,000 students. Phase 1 of the project will serve approximately 2,500 students, and includes an academic building, a student resource building and approximately 800 parking spaces.
